My husband and I met on a cruise in October of 2006. And no, it wasn't a singles' cruise :) Everyone always asks if it was. Our love of travel is one of the many things we have in common that makes our relationship new and refreshing. We made a 5 year plan that included 3 years of intense international travel before adding children to the mix. The 3 years came and went with cruises to the Mediterranean, New Zealand and Asia, specifically Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. We waited one more year to squeeze in some more Dave and Belinda time, and then we removed the goalie to bring a little one into our lives.
After 5 years of infertility and waiting and wishing for a child, we are grabbing life by the horns and enjoying every moment and gift that comes our way. This life is simply too beautiful to stand still in the low places. Join my husband and me for travel, races, cooking, exploring foster, adoption and mentoring and more....oh, and processing through the emotions of becoming childfree not by choice, but by chance. My hope is that this blog might bring some comfort and hope to others facing a childfree life by chance.
